Where specifically you are commuting to in Baltimore from Columbia makes a big difference (downtown, west/north, etc.). Do you have a specific Baltimore location? In general its not nearly as bad as going from Columbia to DC.

It all depends on how you are getting there

I'm really interested in the answer to this question as well, in relation to commuting to the Inner Harbor/Pratt St in particular. Google maps estimates this at 15 minutes but I'm reading that it can take a lot more. Any highways/routes better than others? (or times of day?)

When there is no traffic at all, I can make it in about 20 minutes and about 25/30 minutes to actually get into the city. I have made it to Clarksville from Baltimore City in 20 minutes before.

Besides an accident, I don't find *that* much traffic. A little back up at 695 because the left lane starts backing up...so add about 10-15 min.
