I got a speeding ticket in a school zone by a camera - My problem with that - IT WAS A HOLIDAY. I was not speeding - I was going the posted speed limit. When I talked to the city about it being a holiday they said it doesn’t matter there still could be children in the area. “So, you ticket 365 days per year?” I asked
“No, not on Sundays” - so there could be kids during the winter/Christmas break but not a chance of them on Sundays? “Yes, that is what I am saying - was her reply.”

Sometimes, you just cannot reason with stupidity.

STAY AWAY FROM HAGERSTOWN - in the future I will travel right around and spend my money and spend the night down the road.

You were going more than 10 (11? 12? I forget by now) over the speed limit. You are not special enough to avoid paying the penalty if caught breaking the law, both of which happened.

Deal with it. And I hope you find a more constructive way to deal with karma in the future.

They're following state law.

I also agree with you.

Chesapeake Beach put one up several years ago and ran it 24 hours a day, which is illegal (I got nailed at 0430 two Saturdays in a row). Someone finally reported it and it was changed. Then one of their Council members wanted to double the fines (also illegal) because the income went down.

On a holiday? School isn't in session. There are no groups of little children waiting to cross the street.

If it's Monday through Friday the system doesn't differentiate between a school/no school day. And that's legal from the legislation.

My understanding is it's 6am-8pm, and you have to be going 12mph over the speed limit. I've been nailed a bunch.
