Once again I am pleased to give another 5 star rating to a superlative business in Maine.
Pine Tree Storage, in Dover-Foxcroft, is where I ended up storing my things upon arrival here.
I had phoned several different storage unit facilities and only the manager, a real gem, had returned my phone call.
He met me on a rainy Sat. evening at about 9 pm as I navigated the dark, wet roads driving my huge 16 foot Uhaul truck with a full car carrier attached to the end !
I have had nothing but the most stellar experience with the manager and facilities.
He was one of my first contacts made here. I discussed my plans to build a camp etc. and he graciously provided me with names of people he knew who recently did the same thing. He educated me in the various systems that a camp needed, things that are particular to the snowy winters of Maine...He gave me a great deal of "inside" knowledge or info from a long time resident of the area.
His family also kept their eyes open for properties that might be suitable for my needs.
When I recently moved my things from the unit I hired his gson who was a spectacular worker and trooper.
I am so proud of the wonderful people in Maine who have ONLY enriched my life in God's Country ...as my Mom used to tell me !
My family used to vacation near Winthrop / Readfield and I, at the age of 7 years old fell in love with the Pine Tree State. In the back of my mind I had always wished to live here and here I am.
Thank you to the manager and his family for providing such excellent service, at a very reasonable rate. and for their extension of friendship over the course of time.
P.S. One day after working in my storage unit trying to organize my things...I drove away without locking it.
Well shortly after the manager phoned me and told me that I hadn't locked my unit !!!
WOW !! I highly recommend using this storage unit !
