We usually have eagles in our trees here.

In November I spotted an eagle at the boat ramp on Rt116 in Old Town at the Pea-cove bridge [I think it is labeled Birch Creek]. The eagle was on the ramp eating a deer carcase.

I took photos with my cellphone's camera but the photos turned out horrible. I was going to post the photos on CD if they had been any good.

We have 6 flocks of wild turkey that hang out along the road here, they are commonly on the pavement in the early mornings.

Sunkhaze meadows is a good idea too.

Most anywhere in Maine has some wildlife.

I would go to the Maine wildlife park in Grey. They take native Maine animals that have been wounded or orphaned. Great place for kids. Maine IF&W: Maine Wildlife Park

I like taking the Charlotte Road at Calais through the Moosehorn Preserve to watch the eagles nesting. There's obversation platforms there, too.
