Way down south in Starwalker country it may be partly cloudy due to the edges of that storm that's hammering Virginia.

Being a detail oriented guy, if our forecast had been anything but clear I would not have made the post.
The ISS is pretty impressive to see when it passes. It's even more impressive when linked to the shuttle. It makes the station look twice as large. The shuttle is scheduled to launch on November 16 and will link up with the ISS. Any passes after the 17th or 18th should be very impressive.
The shuttle is slated to be retired in 2010. It is scheduled to fly several more times between now and the end of 2010. If you have never seen a shuttle launch you should plan to take a trip to Florida to see one before they stop flying it. It is a very impressive thing to see.

Just went out on the deck and checked out the sky. Saw it up there, looked like three little stars very close together.

Good eyes MSINA. Those are the big solar panels on each side of the main structure. Just before it disappears it usually flashes as it is in the most direct sunlight just before it enters the earth's shadow.

Looks like another good chance coming up on the 23rd at about 5:33 to 5:37 62 degrees. Space shuttle should be docked then.. I'll get the details posted as we get closer.

Perfect shuttle launch this afternoon. The shuttle will dock with the ISS on Wednesday. Hopefully next Monday the 23rd will be clear so we can see the shuttle linked up to the ISS. Leonids meteor shower peaks tonight after 1:00 AM local time. You should be able to see 20-30 an hour.

Absolutely! I usually catch most of them, unless one goes up while I'm working. My DH went outside to watch the last one (while I was at work), then rewound the DVR and snapped pictures off the TV. He told me it was a nice launch and had pictures. That "might" have fooled me for a minute if the first shot he showed me was in the sky...not of the launchpad itself!
