Maine’s topless coffee shop back in business - Bangor Daily News (http://www.bangordailynews.com/detail/108041.html - broken link)

Maine’s topless coffee shop is back in business!

Gotta hand it to those ladies

The Grand View Coffee Shop returned to business this week in a tent. The waitresses are wearing sweat shirts and they are volunteering their time and working for tips.

In an effort to raise funds to re-built and to continue serving their customers.

Such dedication to free enterprise is heart warming to see.

Amen Forest.... I am counting down the days (35) until we are back from Germany and already plan a trip down from Hampden to give a donation and get a cup of coffee.... regardless of if they have sweatshirts on or off. It's the principal of the whole entire thing.

Again... if you don't agree with it... or don't like it.... DON'T GO .... but in these economic times it is great to see this type of fighting back.

Personally, it's not my "cup of ummm...coffee?" But nonetheless, I like the fact the owner didn't let the arsonist win. There's something to be said for that.

They're wearing sweatshirts 'cause it's so darn cold around here! We're still running the heat daily. I'll wait until the girls no longer need the ski parkas to serve the joe!

Good for them! That's the right spirit in my book!! I'm pretty sure I know what's under their shirts, and they're no big deal to me (pun intended! lol), so I actually would go out of the way to take a ride up there for a cuppa.... just to 'support' the cause... (pun intended twice now!)

I hope the cups they have at that place are big enough to justify the long drive to get there...

(sorry couldn't help it)

Overall my feelings on the business itself are mixed/neutral but I do hope for the employees and for the sake of entrepeneurism they can rebuild and make another go of it.

I have never drank their coffee.

However after hearing of the dedication to their cause and their preservance to succeed; I think that I must make the drive to show support [and contribute] to their cause.

I hope they do have big cups of coffee.
