Oh wow - that's fantastic! Who did the music? Very fitting and well-matched to the video - methinks that'll be added to my "favorites" list.

What a fabulous video! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

One of the wonderful things about the Internet is getting introduced to something or someone one never about. The singer on the video was new to me. I found her voice haunting and the lyrics moving. So, with just a little research, I found her.

Her name is Mary Fahl and the first song is entitled "Going Home" She is the composer as well as the singer; the songs on part of her cd "The Other Side of Time".

Here's a link to the lyrics of the first song:
Mary Fahl - Going home Lyrics (http://www.stlyrics.com/songs/m/maryfahl24885/goinghome928578.html - broken link)

And here is the link to Mary Fahl's info in Wikipedia Mary Fahl - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

After listening to the song a couple of times, I thought - wouldn't this be a great song for Ronan Tynan (one of the three original Irish Tenors) or Andy Cooney (a NY muscian who performs Irish music around the country). The song is would fit both of them.

(Sidebar: I've known Andy for years and have seen Ronan perform many times; and have traveled with them on week-long cruises. All this is to say I'm really familar with their respective works.)

Anyway, upon reading Mary Fahl's Wikipeida page, I learned that indeed Mary had written her lyrics to to "The Dawning of the Day" (one of the other tracks on the album) to honor firefighters who died in the September 11, 2001 attacks and that Ronan Tynan performed the song at the World Trade Center area in 2006. -- You truly learn something every day.

Again, thanks jmcd for putting together such a fine video of the state we all love. And to Maine Writer for imbedding the video.
