While I understand the scams that happen on Craigslist, it shouldn't mean that we should discredit everybody on it. I have found legit jobs on it before. VineTech however, does not seem to be one of these deals. I found nothing on them at the Better Business Bureau, and no responses to follow up e-mails. Oh well, write them of the job prospect list.

I just moved to omaha an alot of jobs i applied for on craigslist want a copy of my credit report, shocked me too! ( I applied for there admin position ) If they want it that bad let them get it otherwise i say its a scam!

The do credit checks in many companies now.
Basically if you have crappy credit there is a higher chance you will steal from the company is the train of thought.
