That's funny I always assumed it was from Washington County. Hmm.. guess you're never too old to learn something new. Glad you guys were able to meet. Of course, being in the giant town of Eastport the odds of running into one another eventually have to be pretty high.

You can often spot her at a distance by the pink ballcap she frequently wears.

lol... well, sometimes you look at things a long time, and you never really put any thought into it right? I grew up with the local radio station as WQDY and never ever thought of where those call letters came from--ayuh... until DH said to me three years ago "oh, for Quoddy right?" lol--it was a lightbulb moment

I learned yet another thing.
I grew up in Calais in the 70's & 80's and all we had really was WQDY 92.7 FM

I believe, that ball room dancing was aired on Saturdays. I could be wrong. It was a "bummer" when you went to bed and they weren't playing Hall & Oats or something from Men at Work (I come from a land down under)

Haha, would I be showing my age if I said that Men at Work was the first concert I went to?

"It's Make-Believe Ballroom time..." LOL! That was still on during the early 90's.

It was a good, nice visit with you also. It was neat how everybody knew who you were when they came into the restaurant. Nobody even had anything bad to say to you. Odd considering your job... you must be doing it right!

It was also a nice visit at the Commons. It was great to talk to the ladies there. They are very nice and helpful.

By the way... Tinbender is also a great guy. Not quite a curmudgeon, but there is hope for him.

You should here them talk when I'm not in the WaCo. Totally different. Especially from one of the people who said hello. I'm guilty of everything short of the Linburg baby kidnapping.

I can be at times. Just have to find the right conversation.

Enjoy the evening. I'm running around today and the restaurant will close about 2:30 so I got lots of cooking to do.
