As we get ready to head South to look at Maine Land, we are wanting more info on the LUPC. I have tried to look stuff up on line, but can't seem to figure out their website. The one piece we are most interested in is on Packard Rd out fo Bridgewater, and also a piece on Tar Ridge Rd out of Springfield. How can I tell if it is under LUPC control? Will the realtors know this information when we meet with them? We do not want someone telling us what we can do or whether or not we can cut firewood to heat our house! We also have some unusual ideas for the house building itself and don't want to get into any hassles with that. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Some realtors may know a bit about LURC, I have met one realtor who does know a great deal about LURC. The remainder of the realtors that I met clearly did not know much about LURC.

NMLM, who posts here. Knows his stuff. He is a great resource.

As for specific questions about a township, or even about a specific property; you might do well to talk with the neighbors.

I looked at many properties when I was shopping. I had a terribly difficult time finding a listing realtor who had ever been on the property that he was listing. Let alone who knew anything about their listed properties.
