So WHAT is considered "northern Maine"? Obviously, of course Aroostook County is northern Maine. But what else do people in Maine consider the "north"? Is Lincoln area northern? Where is that imaginary line that MOST people consider it northern Maine. I am sure many people consider it different places, so maybe I can hear what a few people consider it to be.

Look on the back of the Delorme Gazetteer for Maine. There is a grid showing the individual maps in the book. There is a straight line seperating the maps numbered 18-27 from the maps numbered 28-37 that runs from Eastport to Rangeley Lake in a straight line through Old Town. This is a pretty good guide to use as to what is North or South in Maine.

So in terms of the 'Northern region of Maine', I am in it's Southern extreme.

So I live in the South?

Cool

We used to live in the Southern extreme of New England, now we live in the Southern extreme of Northern Maine.
