Hello Shade58. Bridgton is a lovely area. I remember an Ingraham family from Bridgton. Bridgton is about 2.5 hours from the Bangor area MsJL.

Thumbs up All my life

I have lived in Maine all my life. I grew up in North Yarmouth, and now live in Durham and work in Yarmouth. I have visited lots of places, but have no desire to live anywhere other than Maine!

If I were you I would hop on the internet and grab a newspaper subscription to that area and check the classifieds. Your neighborhood library is also a good source for free newspapers and internet access. Good Luck!

Default Living in Bridgton

How is it living in Bridgton? I am from NJ and have been planning on moving to Maine. I spoke with someone who lives in Bridgton and they love it. It seems like Fryeburg Academy would be a big plus. Is it difficult to commute to Westbrook? Thanks

Hi ...I lived in Maine a little over 10 Years.. Lived in Sherman Station , Bath , Brunswick, Topsham, Lewiston and Auburn. Worked at Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant in Wiscasset, and Bath Iron Works Navy Shipyard in Bath. Theres not many Places in Maine that I havent been to Excluding The Allagash Area and North of Caribou. Maine is a Beautiful place with a much Slower Pace than everywhere Else I've Lived... but I just couldn't take the Long Cold Snowy Winters anymore ..So Now I Live in Florida... Florida is Custom Built to my interests so I love it here.
