Hi,

My husband and I are moving to Crawford, Maine. We are trying to find someone who may be able to help us out. We have a few questions.
1) what type of internet is there? Any who offer unlimited gbs?
2) which town hall does crawford use?
3) who is the trash pickup through?

If anyone is able to help or direct me to someone its greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Susan M. Wallace
2252 Airline Rd
Crawford, ME 04694

Municipal Registrar
Norma J. Wallace
359 Crawford Arm Rd
Crawford, ME 04694

One thing to check on for sure is the cell phone service. I know when I am out Lubec way cell service can be international in that the nearest tower may be in New Brunswick. So might be good idea to get some insight and strong clarification from a local in Crawford about cell phone usage/plans etc. Crawford might not be quite as close to the border as Lubec but better informed than surprised.

So when you have made calls in Crawford you are being charged domestically not internationally for that specific call because down closer to Lubec that isn't always the case.

Crawford isn't that close to the border. Now in Robbinston, that is another case.

Crawford is ~40 miles from the coast if you drive 191 and 214. It may be a bit closer to the border via Rt. 9 & 1, but there are domestic towers in Calais, and there are cell phone towers just a few miles away in Wesley, right beside the old fire tower on the Airline.

That's right. Crawford maybe about 15-20 miles from the end of route 9. Cell towers are all close by. I have no idea where there town office is. There looks to be a red community building near the Hilltop diner, but it has no signs.
