Or....We could get carded. The servers wouldn't look at the year we were born, but the state where we reside....and all Mainers would automatically get a reduced rate on their seafood dinners.
If you're friends or relatives with the fishermen or women or some clam diggahs (native Mainers--not just residers...lol), you can get a cheaper than restaurant price, but they probably won't be cooked for you. Re read post#7; apparently Maineguy04654 knows some of them.
True....My father has connections now and back when I was young, my step-father bartered his services for live lobsters. He and my mom also worked in Southwest Harbor every other Friday. When they were finished, they headed straight to the dock to purchase "fresh off the boat" haddock. Sooooo good.
We need some sort of discount program for restaurants though!
