(A one-shot (A.K.A. this is all from my head as I think of it), so it may or may not be good, heh)

Maine.
Dew on the grass in the morning light.
Lazy mid-afternoon walks in the sunshine.
Incredible sunsets that seem to go on forever.

Maine.
Where small-town America is common.
Where you practically know everyone.
where you can find solitude.

Maine.
Where unspoiled nature meets progress.
Where that same nature is protected.
Where relaxing is a way of life.

Maine.
Home to lots of people.
who love this state
as much as we do.

May this great state shine on forever.
Maine.

Ummm...I should just stick witth music, eheh.

My ex-husband called me this afternoon just laughing. He grew up in Hartford Conn, and there are still moments when living in small town Maine surprises him. He lives in Eastport, where I grew up. Someone came up to him in the grocery store and asked him how I'm doing. They'd heard I'd had surgery, yada, yada...and they had a conversation for about 5 minutes. He got home and called laughing because he has absolutely NO idea who it was!! and he says "but they know you real well!". The small towns, and the fact that when you grow up there even when you leave, you're never really gone---that's what I love
