Haven't I seen the chaplain from the Eastport VFW hall in this forum. I am pretty sure I got a chuckle about the sorts of arguements he ends up having to arbitrate between the regulars at that post. He might be able to help you Corgis. I will review a couple of threads to see if I see his "name".

The gentleman I am thinking of is "ForrestBeeKeeper" but I may be mixed up about which VFW he is chaplain for. His profile says he lives in Argyle.

I have a Garmin Etrex....I love it, it's not hard to learn to use, and it takes some rough bumps and is waterproof. My best friend just bought a new one put out by DeLorme, I am sooooo jealous!
WM has a deal Friday for $128.88 on a Garmin Street Pilot c330. Is that a cheaper model than what you have?

Nevermind. That one is not handheld. HH would be best, right?

yes, you need handheld

let's see the color screen is not necessary, but it's nice, and I'd recommend waterproof....mine is a Etrex Venture by Garmin, we paid about $130 or so for it last fall
Just shop around, because you can find good deals on the Garmin products. There's a website that compares prices for you of all items listed online, but I can't rem--oh it's shopzilla

Right, so sorry for being dense there.

I am not familiar with the Eastport Am. Legion Post.

Catching up on my reading.

I am a member of the American Legion in Old Town, however the current Commander there has decided that he does not like me, as he has only curses to say at me and/or my wife whenever he sees us. Thus I pay my dues via snail-mail, but I have not gone there for two years.

I am a member of the VFW post in Old Town, I am their chaplain and I used to volunteer bar-tend there [I no longer bartend there as the paid bartenders need the hours].

Each of these posts wants to do their own ordering of hats and stuff. I have no idea of where else to get the stuff. Our quartermaster loggs onto the national website and from there he can order the stuff. But nobody else can log onto the national website.

Default How cool is this???

I won a raffle at the girls' school. I bought $3 in tickets and won $47! Granted, it won't buy this year's Christmas for everyone, but it will make a little dent. I don't think I've ever won anything. Maybe it's a sign of my fortune turning in a positive direction!
