no....I think WQDY, the local radio station used to have one, but as far as I know there's none now. I'll google it though, and see if I can find anything
I just googled and didn't find anything, but boy it's still freaky to me to see us come up in a google search for what we say here!
Woo-Hoo - I made a mistake in my calendar and it's actually only 130 days until we leave for Eastport, I'm thinking I somehow added an extra 8 days somewhere, makes me feel better.
On my way back to the studio this noon, I managed to score a resupply on the box front, and from of all places the Salvation Army! I saw this huge stack piled up next to their dumpster and managed to listen to the little voice when it hollered "turn around and go ASK!"
I got a couple of frozen food boxes (I think that was what had been held) and some that other folks had filled with donations, I guess.. plus two adult diaper boxes, very obvious in their branding... must be the institutional packaging as the ones I see in the stores are in plastic bags.
Between those and the booze boxes, I dunno whether to expect tons of neighbors coming to visit to check us out, or everyone avoiding us when we walk down the road! LOL
Hang on to any of the new Maine Quarters. If you have them, they may be worth much more than 25 cents.
The US Mint announced today that it is recalling all of the Maine quarters that are part of its program featuring quarters from each state. This action is being taken after numerous reports that the new quarters will not work in parking meters, toll booths, vending machines, pay phones or any other coin operated devices.
The problem lies in the unique design of the Maine quarter, which was designed by a team of Aroostook County specialists. Apparently the duct tape holding the two dimes and the nickel together keeps jamming up the machines.
Ahhh! Got me too! Too cute...
