I'm wondering about switching to Electricity Maine. Anyone out there have any experience with switching suppliers for their electric service? Is there a real savings? Downside or glitches?

Our company has been using Glacial Energy. The weather has been so different this year that we have been unable to determine savings. We will need several years of data to compare before we know for sure.

I switched over a few months ago, very easy to do and it will save you a little bit of change,
every little bit helps though.

Hold on........ CMP just dropped their rates below Electricity Maine starting in March. Is Electricity Maine dropping their rates again to beat CMP?

CMP is only a delivery company, They do not produce power to sell they only deliver it to your home or business for a fee.

So how does the CMP price drop factor into this? My CMP bill says I'm signed up for "standard offer service"

If you check your bill you should find A breakdown of the cost of your electricity and the delivery charge, If CMP is having a price drop then it will be for the cost of delivery.
