I thought some of you Maine dog lovers/owners might be interested in this incident that happened in my town (Wausau, WI) this past Tuesday.

Just google "Today Show dog resuscitated" and click on link.

Info might come in handy some day.

Already knew about it. Actually there's a way to make a makeshift mouthpiece with a 1 liter soda bottle.

Thanks for sharing the story. Nice to know it actually works.

Back in the 80's [I believe] an Eliot Maine, firefighter did mouth to mouth on a dog that had been involved in a house fire [smoke inhalation] and succesfully resuscitated him.

I guess there is apparatus out there for this purpose specifically for pets.
Our local paper is suggesting the fire department acquire this equipment.
They also dug up info where someone was going to donate this equipment awhile back but the fire chief declined, for some reason.
