From the ITS trail between Dexter and Dover. Family lives there. Built in 1850, but we have a new updated kitchen from the 1930's.

Except when the big trucks flash by going too fast. That's route 7 just in front of the house. The only good thing about being that close to the road is in wintertime, where the snow plowing and shoveling can be relatively short distances. Many of the older homes of the day were that close too. I have pictures somewhere showing the early 1900's with my great grandfather plowing snow in front with his old tractor.

My parents inherited the house and acreage in the early 70's and have since passed on and left it to me and my 4 other sibs. Before the 70's, not much was done since a complete update in the 30's. My parents had to do the siding, heating and electical systems. We just put a new metal roof on a couple years ago. A new bathroom this month. Will it ever end? Just kidding. I know it never will.
