Thank you, it was a great trip :-) The weather was strangely warm for the date - highs in the 60s and 70s, but I wasn't complaining! That last photo with the Deere tractor was taken in the Clark Island Preserve, which is in Spruce Head - it's a beautiful spot with gentle topography and lots of rocky shoreline to explore by the trails that lace it, along with a central carriage road - no vehicles allowed on it but it makes for an easy walk back without fussing over roots and rocks trying to trip you up like you find on the trails. And I have to plug the adjacent Craignair Inn - their back porch overlooks the island and the causeway leading to it, and they have a great restaurant dubbed the Causeway Restaurant. After I finished my hike I lingered there on the back porch with a beer until they began serving and it was worth the wait! :-) My other dinners were all pre-made meals done takeout from grocers French & Brawn, Megunticook Market or the Hannaford and reheated at home, but the one meal I actually ate out at a restaurant during the week was a dinner at the Causeway.
