We need it. April's total was less than 50% of normal.
It's messing up the farmers as far as planting, but the upside is if it rains now, we (hopefully) will have a nice sunny summer.

....mmmmm, sun, beer, seafood.......

We didn't need it in this part of Maine. We've been above average precip all year.

when I got married in '83 it rained for three weeks before my wedding day on May 28th. That day the sky cleared to a glorious sunny day. Stayed sunny for 2 days, long enough to get north to our camping spot , then proceeded to rain for another week.

Same here in PA. Its been raining every day since last Saturday May 14. We feel like we are in the Monsoon season. Clearing is supposed to happen tomorrow. My grass is 6 inches high. and I accidentally ran over a tarp in my back yard so its going to take me 45 minutes to cut it out of the blade.

It is so bad here, that people are mowing in the rain. I managed to sneak one in the other day, I barely finished when it started raining again. I need to mow every 5 days here with all this rain, but it is almost impossible.

A summer with higher precipitation is forecast by the weather guys. Hope it is not a repeat of summer before last.

It isn't so much "the rain" as the heavy mist and totally gray skys. They sun came out for about 10 minutes twice today!! Tomorrow they are promising real sun but then Monday back to the clouds.
