1) nice warm walks after work
2) Packing a lunch and heading for the shore
3) Having to eat my Ice Cream Cone quickly because it's melting

Take care Winter, see ya

Absolutely! I'm looking forward to getting a tan on the beach, camping, gardening, outdoor concerts, canoeing, and not having to wear nylons or 2 pairs of socks/2 shirts & a sweater/heavy boots every time I leave the house.

Mowing grass, hanging laudry, weed whacking, cutting firewood, clearing brush, and sweating! All of the seasons have their blessings and their drawbacks. Tanning on the beach is a no no,.. I've had some spots removed already, the sun and I don't get along.
I have had enough snow for this year and, would like to see the ground again. It will be nice to be able to wash the truck and see the actual color!

I'm not ready for spring........but it's coming anyway. In NC it's just a sign that summer's coming,a really, really, long, hot summer.

You guys will get a great summer so just hang on for a little bit longerThe wait will be worth it!

I hear ya with the sun thing. Had two "spots" off my back and am working on another one on my nose now! Even the long visor hat doesn't keep it all off me I guess. Fair Irish skin!!

I'm not ready for spring. I'm still doing indoor projects. We overhauled the bedroom right after Christmas and it's close but still not done. Just the carpeting left to do. Feeling cramped in our son's old bedroom but it will be nice when we're done.
Spring is the beginning of a big repainting project for me. Besides my yearly barn painting this year we have to do most of the house as well. Unfortunately I don't live in a nice little ranch. It takes me about a week a side to scrape, prime and paint. So I have close to two solid months of painting to do. Thinking about trying to bribe friends with lobsters and beer. We also plan to repave the driveway and spruce up in general for my daughter's wedding here in August. Lots to do and a good reason to do it.
I'll let you all know when the Yard Sale will be....It will be worth driving down from Eastport for!!!

Don't get too eager. Everybody better hope for a long slow melt or we'll have another really big flood like the one on April 1, 1987 when the covered bridge at Guilford was washed away. That bridge had stood since 1857. The conditions that led to the flood were deep snow in the woods and a heavy warm rain.

On a similar subject, the ground is not frozen under all this snow. That means the maples will start running sap. It could be a long "sugarin'" season, but it will be hard to get around in the sugar bush.

Yes and no.

I LOVE spring. But it never lasts long enough. For the past few seasons, it seems like the snow is barely gone before summer hits and it's 95 degrees outside. I like warm. HOT I can do without.
