(I don't have the time/energy to do it now, a lot of people seem to be doing their shopping on-line which means that a great deal of stuff has been passing thru the company I work for. 12-15 hours a day, for 6 days a week, on my feet running, toting, lifting, stacking, wrapping, hauling and loading is wearing me down...but it will be good for the bank account.)

You probably have much more experience at felling and limbing than I do. I can do it, and have done it, but what takes you 4 days would probably take me 40.

Just to chime in and compare costs. A seasoned cord (8x4x4) costs $200 here + delivery charge.. Some guys will charge $220/cord for oak. Unseasoned you can find some guys to deliver for under $200.

Some guys charge an insane rip off amount of $300/per cord and people pay because of their reputation being a garden center.

If you buy more than 1 cord discounts are given.
If you pick up the cord discount is given.

Costs 'across the country' are neither responsive nor accurate for a local question...and the OP asked 8 years ago...surely you could do better for an inaugural post?

Current costs here in ME range from $110 for tree length, delivered (8-10 cord minimum), to $325 cut, split, seasoned, delivered (with a minimum amount).
