What makes Byron so much greater than Macon???
Macon does have areas that are worse than Byron, but also has much more to do (places to shop, eat out, leisure, etc) and it does have nicer neighborhoods than Byron too in some parts.

Byron, Ga....where Dollar General is the fanciest store in town, and the only excitement is cops parked at every store, gas station and restaurant in town looking to give someone a ticket for going 1 mile over the limit.

I thought they were talking about the smell. Byron doesn't have a papermill like Macon does. Geez, you Maconites are touchy!

Have a Mexican pronounce the word Macon sometime. It will certainly sound better than pronounced in English. They use Spanish vowel sounding letters to pronounce everything.

Mah-cohn? Ma-sohn? Doesn't that sound better?

Just don't have them pronounce Georgia though. That would come out something like: ****-hee-ya. In Spanish all G's and J's have an H sound.

When people ask me where I shop for clothes (Salvation Army), I pronounce it in Spanish, and I fool a lot of people: Sahl-vahs-yohn Ahr-mee! And they'll think you're shopping at a fancy label import store.

Glad to see some other city in the state can be related to our porcine friends.
What do you think Hogansville is. It's not Atlanta and plus Macon has nicer places than your piece-of-crap Hogansville. That's why you all keep getting hit by tornado's every year so worry about your own village.
