i'm a straight up bug hater. Not what i need to hear after being frightened by them cicadas while visting and moving to DC in 04.

I thought these were the 14 year ones. We had tons when we were camping and I heard them by the hundreds in the country today.

What cracks me up is that they are fussing about the sound. I hear cicadas every year so I don't really pay much attention to them anymore.

Yeah...we had them every year in Tx. One summer I went to lay on my carpet and I heard a crunch sound in my hair. When I went to look, there was the shell of a molted cicada in my hair. Man you never heard anyone scream so loud! It must have happened when I was ducking the low hanging branches while mowing the lawn. I love listening to them but they are scary looking!

Yeah, they tried climbing up my leg which is creepy when you can't see them lol
