Alright, this will be my first Thunder as a Louisville resident. So lets have the goods, where is the best place that is free/inexpensive to watch Thunder from? I hope to snap some pics also so keep that in mind.

For free, I recommed going to the tops of a parking garage early. The one at 7th and Market is a good option. Another is the one at 1st and Main. Usually if you are up there by afternoon, no one will question you.

That said, the absolute BEST place is one of the skyscrapers downtown. Try to sneak your way into the Barrington PLace apartments. Just act like you know someone and usually you can go up. They open the roof up and man the shots are magnificant!

i think the best place is on the indiana side. you get the skyline along with everything else. there are some power lines here and there to avoid in your photographs, but the reflections of the fireworks off the river and the buildings is pretty spectacular.
