They are located in Bossier City. Do you know of any good apartments or other housing in Minden, La.

No, sorry. I do a little bit of my shopping/dining in Minden because I live closer to Minden than I do Shreveport, but I'm really not familiar with Minden. There's really not a lot there... and I wouldn't guess there would be very many decent apartment complexes there. If you're looking for something decent or nice in Minden you'd probably need a house. When I was living in Shreveport I had a neighbor who moved to Minden to share rent on a house with a couple other guys. They found something pretty nice for... I think it was under $1,000/month. I'm pretty sure it was.

Also I think Minden is "dry," regarding alcohol sales... not sure if that matters to you, but it so it's something to consider.

The Northshore is great, totally different crime wise and there are some new areas that are reasonably priced. There is a new community coming in to Robert, La. just about 10 minutes West of Mandeville and the homes are going to be around 1800 sf and priced around $185,000 (lots of great oak trees). I'll can give you more info if you're interested. Also, there are some great garden homes that are reasonably priced

Pineville/Alexandria. good place to live and raise kids. Pineville is especially friendly. Crime is a minimum. Usually just kids getting into trouble. Cost of living is not too high.
