Visiting the area, and am wondering if there is anything within a short days drive that is worth seeing? Are Natchez or Sabine Nat'l Forest not really worth the drive?

I would recommend driving from Alexandria to Leesville and then up to the Sabine Forest.. thats a pretty drive. None of the towns or cities really have much to offer, just natural beauty (in some places). This is if you have a lot of time, otherwise I think CenLa can be skipped
