You beat me to it. I wonder if there are some people who are actually proud of their city being the perennial winner of this title. Not that they admit such a thing of course.

It's true there are things that can be done to improve the situation, but only to an extent. LA is my favorite city, but the reality is until we control the forces of nature, we'll never get that pristine air some few cities enjoy the majority of the year. I'm glad we made so many improvements in the past and hope a lot more will be done soon. It's just that in a city the size of LA and given our technology, the improvement will plateau (even campfires before industrialization caused smog let alone everything else we have now). Of course it's best that we all do what we can to improve air quality, that I realize. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the few days that we have when the snowcapped San Gabriels can be seen from Santa Monica.

Jeez come on I was just kidding. I actually love LA! Relax, take a deep breath...but then again maybe not so deep, what with all that pollution
