Isn't Santa Barbara generally considered the place where people go to retire in Southern California? I believe Montecito is also where they have a decent sized retiree population. I would certainly place those in the top ten.

For us, It's along the California coast. We know a lot of retirees living on the coast.
The whole Palm Springs area, is another place I know where people go to retire.

Yes, lot's of retired people (and no, they're not all old and decrepit - many are in their 40's!) in the Coachella Valley. But the demographics have changed a lot and we now have a lot of families and working people here too. There are also a lot more year-round people here too. When I firat moved here the place was a ghost town during the off-season, now it is hopping all the time.

I forgot to mention Leisure World at Laguna Woods.I have a retired old friend that lives up there.Prices range. But it's so nice up there.Maybe in a couple of more years I will consider. Golf carts everywhere

Where's that? I know there's a Leisure World in Seal Beach, CA.

It is on the 5, exit El Torro.Turn right.There are different gates, look like a city each time you enter a guarded security gate.
