You are kidding yourself.

There is no such thing as a MMJ prescription, it cannot be legally prescribed. It is a recommendation.

You can get a recommendation for any number of ailments including headaches and insomnia.

Anyone can get one. My brother-in-law has one. He has no ailments.

Why don't you try and get one to see what the process is like. Similar to the other thread, you don't bother to post any facts about the subject.

How do you know your brother-in-law doesn't want to share his ailments with a judgmental moderator from C-D? Hmmm?

I have no interest as I do not smoke marijuana. However I know many people with recommendations. None are sick people. They got their recs and think it's all a big joke.

My brother-in-law is 23 and healthy as a horse. The MMJ helps keep him glued to video games.

Sassberto is right. You can walk into a "doctor's office" on Venice Beach & walk out with a prescription. Where have you been? All the local tv stations have had segments of how marijuana use is recreational since all anyone has to do is say you feel better smoking marijuana.

I wouldn't move to Los Angeles or California just because you can buy weed. I hope there is something more to motivate a move all the way from Virginia. I think marijuana will be totally legal in California within a few yrs but the state needs to figure out how to tax & regulate marijuana. It is harmless.

That was the case in 2007 when prop 215 started, but it isn't the case anymore. You have to go to a traditional doctor first before you can get a prescription. The days of "it makes me feel good" are over.

I remember that article.

My favorite quote:

As far as I could tell, the entire floor was abandoned but for this little operation. Nice to know there's still one part of the economy firing on all cylinders.

Which is why our gov't should be working with the only business that is currently expanding right now. Wake up.

So let me understand your logic then - a business - legal or illegal, no matter how morally or ethically questionable - should be allowed to operate simply because it makes money?
