hey everyone. I was searching for something on google maps, and found an apartment complex on 1140 clark, in west hollywood. apartments are called "Sunset Terrace West" but when I start looking for info on these apartments, I dont see anything at all. could these apartments been torn down since google maps took their photos?

I'm in texas, and I plan on moving to LA. so I'm doing research.

If you want to kow if it still exist, download google earth from goggle's home page.
Once it is on your computer, type in the address in the left pane, and click search.
This will focus in on the address and more than likely show a current picture if one is available.
Goggle earth lets you see places all over the world.
I use it often.
Bob.

It's still there. Not much gets torn down in this area. Any buildings that survived the latest round of gentrification will be around for at last another decade. There are tons of vacancies in West Hollywood at the moment - for obvious reasons. Most of the buildings on Clark have vacancies. Apartments in LA can be rather yuck with an occasional gem. Just North of Sunset and San Vicente would be walking distance from a lot of resources, but with very traffic congested streets. If you plan on commuting, it's not a small thing. On the other hand, if you can drive during off rush hours, that's a fantastic starting point.

It's on CL:
