ME and two of my friends are going to sell everything we own and move to California. We'll be basically broke when we get there but we're getting evicted. Anyways, I am wondering where would be the best place to go to find a place to live while still being close enough to the city to find a job. Any ideas? Anything in the general southern California area would help! Thx

I hear there's still a few nice underpasses left.

How do you expect to find a place to live with no money and an eviction on your record?

If you don't mind a long commute, Palmdale is very very cheap right now. So is San Bernardino. For both of those places, you could ride the commuter train into parts of town that have jobs.

If I was broke and being evicted I think I'd choose a place with a much lower cost of living than Southern California.

I could get lengthy about all of the reasons NOT to come to California (no money, no job, no future plans, no housing, etc) but why?? Escape and Zen said it perfectly! :-)

Stay where ever you are....California is NOT for you right now.
