We'll be going to LA from San Diego on January 3-4, mostly because our 21 year old friend is visiting from NYC and she wanted to see LA. While we're not into the club scene, she is very much into it. Can anyone recommend a nightclub in LA? Any area is fine. I don't even know where to start looking and I know she would like to go to one. TIA!

^^
Sugar
Shag
Avalon
Hyde
Cinespace
Key Club
Vanguard
Club SoHo
LAX
SEVERAL others but
I suggest looking up club events around L.A. for your decision. Researching the right event will make the night far better than just randomly picking a club.

What type of club do you want?

Dance? Live Music? Gentlemens?

How one can associate the word gentleman with those who watch naked women dance and pay for them to sit on their laps is beyond me.

If you want to drink, the women aren't naked...

To the OP, please be sure to check the cover charge for any of these clubs. Also, many of them now require you to partake of the "bottle service", which can be very expensive, just so you can have a place to sit. Or you could stand up all night, which is what I did in Las Vegas at House of Blues once. Ouch!
