Go for it ASAP! If I were younger & single it would be a perfect apartment. But I love the beach & would swim\ surf every day. The party scene looks quite appealing plus having that incredible view

I assume the noise would be bad...homeless at night? What do you think about break ins?

You will not have a homeless issue on this section of beach.

Homeless people are to the south up on the bluffs in santa monica near the $$, tourist, and guilt riddled residents & commuters who feed and support them. The other homeless/really near homeless loiter south of the pier as its closer to their drug dealers & liquor stores and about midway to their northern $$ supply.

The downside of this location is PCH running at full speed on this section and very busy in the summer. It may be loud depending on how the place is set up. Parking most likely is right on PCH so your car may be exposed to the elements and traffic.

You have a sand view rather than an ocean view. Its secluded but nice especially if you like to bike ride. Easy to get to main street, downtown SM venice, etc without the need of a car.

A few miles north and that same studio would be 3-4k+.

Just out of curiosity -- how much are they asking for the place?

Ah, yes, the carefree life of a young male heterosexual...

Not that I would know what that's like, of course.

Just jokin' around.

That's good to hear. I was just referring to the "babes and beer" line.

I can remember being in high school and hearing guys talk about "babes and beer" or something similar, and thinking, "Ugh." lol...

Reminds me of the old SNL parody, "Schmitt's Gay":
