I´m not sure about dangerous parts but Azusa is on my short list of areas that I consider nice, safe, and interesting and affordable

Azusa is very friendly city,Close to Monrovia, covina,West Covina. Close to the 210 freeway, very convenient. Lot's of new housing, new development.
If you like hiking, just go up north.Great for Barbequeing

azuza is far from LA. if you like the subraban lifestyle, by all means move There. neighboring cities have some points of interest, but for any real exciting adventure you will drive 30 plus miles into los angeles. it is safe. with modest homes. its a family environment. not very exciting tho.

I'll just echo that it's boring and nice with reasonable housing and not L.A...not much to do. If you have to go west at all, the 210 can be dreadful.
