hello los angeles!

i just moved to la (it's everything i imagined and more--i love this place) from athens, ga and i moved in with friends in a good apt in los feliz. unfortunately i just discovered my dog has 2 weeks to stay. i'm looking for a temporary home for her until we can find a suitable place to move. ideally we would like something in the $2000 range. preferably 2 bed/2bath (a pool couldn't hurt). one friend works in los feliz and does not want a long commute so we would like to stay in the area. by the way, i am a 41 year old former record store guy looking for cool employment. thank you for any help or advice on these matters, michael

p.s. dog is 14 year old dachsund.

There are a lot of places that will allow a small dog. Especially in your price range. Try craigslist: los angeles classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events. There is a filter that will allow you to search only place that will allow a dog. I would also try the cat filter because they will often allow a small dog. Westside rentals also has this feature but the list costs $60. If you run out of time, you can try an animal rescue to inquire about boarding. There are a lot of kennel free doggie day care places in LA. Maybe if you agree to take your dog to one, your landlord will reconsider letting your dog stay. Good Luck.
