In the news whole foods is closing a few locations across the country. Unfortunately the Tarzana store is one of them.

I wonder who will take over the vacant whole foods in tarzana?Tarzana??

In the seattle area where I live there have been rumored to be 2 whole foods going out of bussiness.

For those who live in the west San Fernando valley hopefully whole foods woodland hills will stay in bussiness.

Source? I dont see anywhere that the Tarzana store is closing. Post your source for this Mr. "I dont live in LA, I live in Seattle, but I like to post in LA forums".

Oh, don't bug him. I live in Washington state myself, but I lived in California for 26 years and was raised in Minnesota, so I still drop into those forums all the time.

And sometimes I drop into forums from states that have nothing to do with me on account of I'm a cantankerous old biddy and I like to put my 2 cents in whether it's welcome or not. I make some enemies doing that but I also make a lot of friends, too. lol

Well, it looks like they just recently opened a store in Sherman Oaks with "Just Walk Out Shopping." I don't know how this would affect the Tarzana store, but I didn't see anything on their website about any planned store closures.

Quote:
Sherman Oaks, Calif. (March 16, 2022) – Whole Foods Market opened its store at 12905 Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks, Calif. on March 16. (snip) As previously announced, the Sherman Oaks store is the second of two Whole Foods Market stores opened this year that feature Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology. With Just Walk Out Shopping, the store provides customers the choice to skip the register for a faster, more convenient shopping experience while offering the same high-quality products and exceptional service from Team Members as other Whole Foods Market stores.

Tarzana is far enough away to make much of an impact. The remodeled Sherman Oaks Whole Foods store you mention, is the third store in Sherman Oaks. Will be interesting to see if all three will survive being close to together.

Meanwhile, Sprouts is expanding like gangbusters!

Two new stores coming to my neck of the woods in the Antelope Valley this year.

No need. There’s literally another Wholefoods 7-10mins away in Woodland Hills. Plus of course Erewhon in Calabasas.
