In my opinion Santa Monica and Westwood are nicer parts of town. If you're early 20s age you'll like being near UCLA and the beach.

Santa Monica and Westwood are both served fairly well (Big Blue Bus and Metro Rapid), and WestHo along Santa Monica Blvd (Metro Rapid line 704) is as well.

Just don't come here expecting public transportation to be as good as NYC or even Chicago.

18th Street in Santa Monica is a nice area (at least near Wilshire it is), lots of trendy cafes and pet shops teeming with young people.

I have 2 options,
512 or 660 Veteran ave

and ofcourse 18th Street Santa Monica,
and I have one more question,
i dont know how it looks in US,
but the owner want us to send him amout for 2 months ahead right now,
we though that we can pay only earnets now,ale the rest when we get there(13th of June).
Is it normall is US?
We dont wanna loose so much money

thanks

Do you mean the first month and a deposit? If so yes that is normal and happens with every rental.

Ofcourse I understand
that the owner want to deposit and the firs month rent. But this situation is different.I'm in Poland now,
and I have to send 2000$ to someone, without any agreement,
I havent seen even this room yet.
so, thats why I'm asking if I should do that.
What if I sent this money, and in June when I get there his appartment wont even exist

Sounds like a scam to me. In fact I'm almost sure it's a scam the way you describe it. I'd bet you dollars to donuts that if you send them $2,000 you'll never see that money again, and when you arrive you'll find there is no apartment and no landlord. Maybe even no such address.
