Thought everything was BOOMING in L.A . What happened?..
Hopefully we can still afford to hire those attorneys to defend illegal aliens. That needs to be a priority.

With a $245 million shortfall now anticipated in the city budget this year, Los Angeles officials may need to hold off on plans to reduce the city’s parking ticket fees, which can run to as high as $73 per fine, Los Angeles City Controller Ron Galperin said.
The controller poured some cold water this week on efforts by the mayor and other city leaders who have been hoping to ease the financial burden on Angelenos hit with the city’s parking fines.
It turns out the city is still heavily reliant on the money the tickets bring in each year, with three quarters of it used on salaries and administrative costs, and the rest on city services, Galperin said in a letter to the mayor and City Council.

As long as the city has to rely on traffic fines, it will never be on firm financial footing.
Of course it would be a great deal easier if Garcetti could somehow change personalities with Scott Walker and declare war on the public unions. And not going out of his way to indulge illegals, although I am not a hard liner on that issue, I don't think the city has to do any more than what's legally required.

Doing so might damage his future of getting higher office but would make his reputation go up tremendously.

Does the DWP still have $40 million of our money in those two trusts that Crookcetti/Cuckcetti did not force Brian Darcey to eliminate?

Oh no...and right before Trump starts pulling funds for being a sanctuary city.

Don't worry, they'll figure something out.

Is it too late for them to put a half-cent tax (just half a cent folks!) on air and water on the March 7th ballot?

One good thing about you morons who keep voting for sales tax increases. I am old and have already bought about every thing I am ever going to buy and I don't buy new cars. So you are paying the tax, not me.

Yeah that's the thing with Garcetti , one of the guys running against him , Schwartz was saying how Garcetti tries to play it safe because then it will give him a better chance for higher office such as Governor .

Unfortunately this means we have an ineffective Mayor for so many years that doesn't actually take action to make real changes .
The things he really pushes for are things like public transportation which isn't really a controversial issue these days.
He'll never make actual changes to save money or really transform anything .

Crime rising for several years , out of control homeless issue where people avoid certain streets and public parks due to the homeless and on top of it budget issues ?

I just don't see how anyone can say Garcetti is a great mayor ? Or how can they not agree that we deserve better?
