Ate here this week. On Tuesdays & Thursdays they serve Lasagna and/or Spaghetti. It was delicious

Chinese food is awful. I wouldn't eat that garbage if I was starving to death

A bunch of new places are opening up apparently near the L.A State Historic Park on the edge of Chinatown .

A winery is opening up .

Maybe they can brand the area New Little Italy.. not sure if that sounds hip enough though

—-
In an industrial area between L.A. State Historic Park and the Los Angeles River, a winery is in the works. The team behind it plans to turn a brick building (with a large mural of an angelic Tupac Shakur on the side) into a 1,200-square-foot production facility. Barrels won’t start getting filled until later this year, after the harvest, but the plan calls for opening a tasting room soon after that. It would be the first new winery in the city in more than 100 years.

Interesting thread to read. Being from the East Coast, I have yet to find GOOD Italian food out here.

Also--Little Italy in NYC is NOT where people who "know" go for Italian Food. Arthur Ave, people! Still a true community. Wooster Street in New Haven, CT is another spot.

It seems hard to find good Italian food with homemade pasta in L.A that isn’t really expensive .. almost the opposite with Mexican food . The cheaper hole in the wall places usually have the best food .

Yeah I walked to Arthur Avenue from the Bronx zoo when I visited NYC some years back .

Went to Zero Otto Nove was very good .

I wonder how many tourists make it over there .

Don't plan on finding any decent Italian food anytime soon. VERY few Italian restaurants here are actually Italian owned.😩

We don't need that as it would probably be fake and phony.
