Which is worse. Halloween traffic or Valentine's Day traffic in Los Angeles, California? I vote Valentine's Day, but this Halloween traffic is awful too.

Nearly everyone drives to some party on Halloween. Not the case for V-day. No competition in my eyes.

(Besides, the goal for couples should be to be home in bed by a reasonable hour on V-day!)

The GF and I always choose to do V-day on an off day during that week. I suspect many others do the same. Halloween however, all the freaks come out the same night.

As much as I love trick or treaters, when I lived in Manhattan Beach it was always difficult to drive on Halloween because you had to watch out for the kids. And traffic was always heavier on the nearby roads that didn't have kids, since people would drive on those roads instead. Plus you have people driving while wearing costumes, people going to parties, people driving with dry ice in the cars or some other prop that smokes, people on sugar highs and people who are drunk.

Valentine's Day you get that last minute rush to find a store selling a dozen roses. After that, most people aren't out driving, they're busy canoodling (or trying to set up a canoodle).

I walked to a party in Pasadena last night. Didn't notice traffic being bad here or on the 210 when we went over it.

Traffic in West Hollywood last year during the parade was insane. People were definitely walking faster than SM Blvd was flowing. Wouldn't be surprised if SM Blvd causes traffic all over Hollywood-Weho-BH to get crazy backed up.

Valentine's Day hardly makes a difference.

Halloween is a nightmare. Partially due to the WeHo carnival, but also people tend to go out.

So glad Halloween is over!

We went to the West Hollywood festivities. A friend droves us to Beverly Hilla from Cheviot Hills. Traffic was a mess so we cut thru the Beverly Hilton and crossed over Wilshire Blvd into BH which had very little traffic. Returning we walked to SM and Beverly Blvd back to Century City. Halloween is much worse.

Traffic was really bad at least leaving from Brentwood area..

I was going to West Valley area so I took PCH and it wasn't too bad.

Coworker left around 4:30 and didn't get to Valley Village till close to 7pm..

She was going to hand out candy but it was too late she felt.

It was HORRIBLE yesterday. It took us 1.5 hours from Santa Monica (near Wilshire) to Hermosa Beach. Halloween is worse. Just gross.
