Ok, so enough of the negative stuff about LA. When I visited LA a few years ago, I got an intensely spiritual vibe from the place, especially Venice Beach. I am wondering if anyone else gets such a feeling from the area. My theory is that since I was visiting and not caught up in the day to day problems of the high expense to live there, that I was able to get in touch with the underlying spirituality.

I was listening to New Age music and a cd by the group
"Sacred Spirit" immediately brought me back to the feelings I felt while visiting. The music is Native American. Perhaps it was that spirituality that I felt .... Plus a very international exotic feeling is definitely in the air all over the city.

I have visited LA twice now and the west coast is where I go on vacation. Taking a trip to San Francisco in October. I wonder what kind of vibe I will feel there.

Yeah I love LA...however I admit if I lived there, I am sure that the cost of living and having to work extra hours to pay the bills would get old. It is paradise if you have money tho.

Frankly, one of my major motivators for wanting to move to LA is my spirituality & what I experience there. The ocean is like spiritual fresh air! I adore it! But, I've visited a place called, "Agape International Spiritual Centre" in Culver City. One of the men from the book, "The Secret" (Rev Michael Beckwith) is the spiritual leader there.

We have NOTHING like it here in the Twin Cities - that I've been able to find & Lawd knows I've looked high, low, & in between! It's spiritual reawakening. It's everything I ever dreamed of: a body of people who are like/similar minded, a spiritual leader who is truly in-tune & enlightened (IMHO), a spiritual community that puts active works behind their beliefs - I could go on...

I love it in LA & I love Agape!

Thanks for the post...
