I am thinking of opening a wine bar in Palmdale/Lancaster bringing a modern yet classy and relaxed entertainment venue to this valley. Focus will be local, regional, and international wines, beer, and appetizers along with live entertainment and comedian nights. Prices will reflect the Antelope Valley and yet have an Los Angeles or San Francisco feel and level of service and appeal to it. My question is would the Antelope Valley welcome and support this kind of business? (Please comments, suggestions, concerns)

I think this is what this Valley needs more adult friendly place to be with family and friends.Girls night out after work, let your hair down and have a good time. This sounds like a Great idea...

are there any crush facilities out there? You should look into partnering up with one and build yourself into a Temecula. And make sure you do the wine keg thing like Father's Office. I think it's better suited for that locale than an expensive Enomatic system.

For comparison, there is a fancy tea house in Lancaster that I understand does a really good business -- that's probably the same market as a wine bar. And the couple times I've been by the local winery, it's been fairly busy. I think if you start small-but-nice you could build a loyal clientele.
