Anywhere in west LA should be good. Culver city is a good choice both for safety and for the apartment lifestyle. I'm not sure east of the 405 is what someone mean't to say as west (beach side) of the 405 is the best. Santa Monica might not be a bad choice either.

Default Thanks!!!

Thanks everyone for the great information. I have been looking more at the Miracle Mile area. At least on the internet it looks like a cuter area . It seems like a nice area with a lot to do within walking distance.

How is Mid City??? There seem to be a lot of very large apartments there for very reasonable prices. Is it too good to be true??

I will check out some of the other mentioned areas. Thanks again for all the help.

Someone mentioned Fairfax District. Where is that located? Many apartment have permit parking. Is it difficult to find permit parking daily?
Ill finally head out to LA in a few day to check out places. Im sure that will answer a lot of my questions.

East of the 405 is exactly what was meant. Culver City is uniformly good east of the 405. West Culver City (west of the 405) is the worst part of CC, although it varies a great deal. There are good streets, bad streets, and in between streets.

Check out the Fox Hills area of Culver City. Clean, ethnically diverse, nice big park, major shopping mall, close to LAX (if you're going to be flying in & out), great ocean breezes, and reasonable rents. If you need a place NOW, check out The Meadows. I believe they offer short-term rentals as well as furnished or unfurnished apartments. If you find Fox Hills isn't your cup of tea, it will be easy to move someplace else.
