I live in WI and I would like to move to a city with warmer winters. I would also like to open a shoe boutique. For those living in the area are there many shoe boutiques (designer shoes)? Any other info about the area would be great, pros/cons. Or if another area would be better. Thank-you for the help

Are these shoes you make or shoes you buy from a national company? It makes a lot of difference...

A lot of people (like me) go to shoe warehouses like Nordstroms Rack or DSW or they buy online. I don't know how any little store survives anymore. I doubt they can compete in price.

If i were you I'd network with costume designers/stylists in the Industry and open a shoe emporium catering to the needs of film/tv productions given a Burbank locale. According to my friend who used to work as a buyer for Diesel small clothing boutiques are really struggling right now and only profitable in high-end affluent areas like the Westside or Pasadena.
