I for one hate Denny's coming to long island, yet another chain to make this place look like florida with all big box stores and chain restaurants.
That said, My brother delivers food to Diners among other restaurants, and he said they are absolutely disgusting. The kitchens are bad and a lot of their food is expired. Also do you really think a place that serves 200 different things can serve them all fresh? Diners for the most part are gross, but then again you wont catch me at a chain place either.
A friend of mine who is working at that Denny's told me it should be opening today. It was supposed to open a few other times but it got postponed. Last time I spoke with her, she was told it was opening today.

That being said, most diners on LI are barely any better in terms of both food quality and cleanness. The only place besides my home kitchen where I eat breakfast food is IHOP. I know people like to rag on the chains, but most of the diners I have been to on LI are not exactly the cleanest places nor are they serving the best food around.

We have 2 diners in my community; 1 is outright inedible and the other is just so-so. Neither come close to IHOP.
At any rate, I rarely eat out for breakfast. Nothing beats a nice breakfast at home.
