that complex has a lot of section 8 rentals and has a reputation as being bad. The residents from that area are known as being a little unsavory. I've been here for 6 years and while I've never seen anything for myself I still wouldn't chance it.
I have driven through that area for work related purposes. It does not appear to be a nice community. Many of the houses are run down, and there is a large group of young people that just hang out on the sidewalks and in front of the buildings for no apparant reason. The individual I visited likened his neighborhood to the slums...not my opinion, but his. Sorry if I offended anyone, just an observation.
Avoid at all costs.
Theres only one bad part of Ridge and you found it.
Try Panamoka.

there's a three bedroom 1 bath short sale for $199,000. Very well kept, walking distance to the lake, nice yard.
Why not buy?
Maybe someone can answer this. I was driving through Panamoka the other day, the sun was out, the lake was iced over, and I noticed all the boats, canoes etc around the shore. A buddy said that the lake was contaminated with sewage runoff and other chemicals since it was in a depression. He went on to say that it wasn't clean enough to swim in. I found that hard to believe. Anyone have any insight.
