Anyone know if the Great South Bay and Peconic have frozen over yet?
I do know ferry service from Bay Shore is suspended due to "ice conditions" so it could have frozen.

The Great South Bay is frozen within at least a few miles in each direction at Patchogue. The NWS stopped issuing wave height forecasts for a good chunk of the bay yesterday...and will resume them when the ice melts or breaks up.

There was ice on a good portion of Raritan Bay south of NY Harbor this weekend.

Stony Brook Harbor is not frozen over. It could be that there is a very fast moving tidal flow in there.

The mill ponds in both Stony Brook and Setauket (brackish water) have ice on them, but nothing substantial enough to support any weight.

Anyone go walking on them? You need about 2 to 3 inches of ice to support a person.
